A local ESCO engaged E. Sam Jones to develop an energy saving turnkey retrofit solution for multiple schools. There have been 6 ongoing phases of the project. ESJ started with an Investment Grade Audit at each of the schools, followed by solutions to include LED kits, lamps and new fixtures. We implemented LED wireless lighting occupancy, task tuning, daylight harvesting controls and dimming.

After the contract award, ESJ filed all the local rebate dollars towards to project to maximize the payback and savings. At some schools, multiple crews were on site to get the project completed as quickly as possible. Every fixture inside and outside the school was converted to a new LED solution.

We understand the importance of school functionality. We worked nights after school and ended installations before school started the next day. We strive to be “invisible” with the only thing noticeable the next day are the new lights installed the night before. We also worked with the schools around their evening functions to not disturb the students.

ESJ provided preset programming devices to all main school technicians for any wireless programming to be done at previous schools incase programming was lost, or a replacement needed to be reprogrammed.
